The project is related to the Inner City Warehouse design. It includes a lighting schedule with a relating RCP.

The main idea of this lighting project is to create a light the continues with the lighting schedule. This lighting design is in relation to a coastal / Hamptons design, using natural sustainable products. I explored different styles to allow inspiration and innovative design.

By finding sustainable materials and reusing existing products this still doesn't limit my design as I have allowed myself to explore all different ways to execute the design intent.

Sketches
The sketches for designing the light was to break down the process of manufacturing the light, this allowed me understand and execute the design process.

I drew my the differ ways then ring placement would influence the shape and how different patterns would filter the light.

After finding the shape and design if the light I then created a render to execute how the final outcome make look.

Manufacture Process
when making the pendant I thought of what I could use without buying products in as I have the accessibility to my parent’s company, I was able to reuse cover sheets of the material stock and offcuts of veneer to create my pendant. Regarding the materiality of the pendant, I used veneer, and which is a sustainable product as it is renewable reusable and recyclable and completely biodegradable rather than using rope products which may have plastic fibres in it.
To create the rings are used to cover sheet, which is usually a thin 3 mm MDF sheet, rather than buying a metal ring from bunnings.
